Delete Account and Data
Last updated: June 6, 2026
This page explains how users of Android Security Cam can request deletion of their account and associated app data.
How to request account deletion
Send an email to hansrubikon@gmail.com with the subject line Android Security Cam account deletion.
Please include the Google account email address used to sign in to the app.
Data deleted after a valid request
- Firebase user profile data associated with the account.
- Room, camera, and connection metadata associated with the account.
- Push notification tokens associated with the account.
- Motion and recording metadata stored in Firebase for the account.
- Billing entitlement status stored by the app, where applicable.
Data not stored by us or deleted locally by the user
Video recordings are stored locally on the user's devices. Users can delete local recordings directly on their devices from the app or file storage. We do not operate a public video hosting service for these recordings.
Data that may be retained
Some data may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment records, or abuse prevention. Such data is kept only as long as necessary for those purposes.
Processing time
Account and data deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days. Some backup, billing, security, or legal records may take up to 90 days to be fully removed or expire.
Partial data deletion
Users may also request deletion of specific app data without deleting the entire account by sending an email to the same address and describing the data they want removed.
